06_06_2008 TOREX ENTERS AGREEMENT TO ACQUIRE HOSPITALITY DIVISION OF ALPHAMERIC PLC
Deal Strengthens Torex Hospitality Portfolio for New and Existing Client Base
DUNSTABLE, U.K. – June 6th, 2008 - Torex Retail Holdings Limited (Torex™), the leading European-based global provider of software and solutions to the extended retail marketplace, today announced that it has entered into a transaction with Alphameric Plc to acquire its Hospitality Division (“Alphameric Hospitality”).
The division, including its established customer base and portfolio of product and support offerings, will be fully integrated into the Torex business, providing existing and new Torex customers with expanded product alternatives and enhanced solutions. Similarly, the Alphameric Hospitality customer base will benefit from the additional enterprise products and services available from the Torex Hospitality Division.

While we already have a significant customer base within this market sector, this acquisition provides us with additional commercial advantage and will enable us to reach even more customers who can benefit from our best-in-class enterprise software solutions and services,” said Mike Greenough, Chairman and CEO, Torex. “The integration of the new products from Alphameric Hospitality into the Torex solution stack will also provide us with an enhanced baseline from which to expand our foot print in the Hospitality market, both within the UK and overseas.”
Also according to Mr. Greenough, it is the company’s intention to extend the Central System Management capabilities currently available from Alphameric Hospitality and to make available this enhanced offering to the wider Torex customer base.
Alphameric Hospitality is primarily UK based and specializes in providing Enterprise wide-solutions to the hospitality market, including some of the UK’s leading food and drink companies. Alphameric Hospitality matches proven integrated technology with in-depth industry knowledge, resulting in a comprehensive product set enabling complete management of a business including front-of-house sales to back-office administration, supply-chain management and head-office control.
