Unveils Torex™ DRS-POS enterprise edition 5.15 at the Retail Solutions Show 2008

DUNSTABLE, U.K. – 24th June, 2008 - Torex Retail Holdings Limited (Torex™), the leading European-based global provider of software and solutions to the extended retail marketplace, will today showcase the new features of its Torex™ DRS-POS enterprise edition 5.15 for the first time at the Retail Solutions Show 2008. 

The Torex DRS-POS enterprise edition 5.15 connects back-office, POS and management processes via the Internet, and offers retailers innovative new features such as Contactless Payment support. This feature will enable customers to pay for goods under £10 using ‘touch n’ go’ credit and debit cards, dramatically reducing both transaction time and waiting time. 

Environmental pressures have been addressed by the inclusion of important waste management controls. These controls enable store management and head office to track and report on the volume of packaging waste produced at each outlet and the implications it will have on the environment. By implementing this tracking system, retailers can make positive steps towards reducing waste. 

Enhanced support for fashion retailers has been included by the addition of a fourth clothing dimension, enabling them to track the fit of items, such as trouser length, alongside the existing dimensions of size, colour and style. Improved controls for the buying function have also been added to eliminate over ordering or over spending.

These features will run alongside existing capabilities, such as item look-up at the POS, sales monitoring, real-time insights, merchandising and planning, financial and retail reporting, and item maintenance at the back office.
